Coronavirus Update | Handyman Near Me

We’re living in unprecedented times right now, and without doubt, people are worrying about what the next few weeks/months might bring.

Understandably.

We hear on the news that already, businesses are struggling; shops, cafes, restaurants are closing, and people are being advised to self-isolate, or social-distance. I agree with that, but … how are they meant to survive? Who is going to pay their bills?

Self-Isolation

I’m a self-employed one-man-band, if I don’t work, I can’t feed my son, pay my bills, look after my dependents (like my elderly mother).

I take this very seriously, I’m not trying to ‘press on regardless’ and ignore advice given on how to restrict the movement of the virus, or just go about my daily business without thought to my client’s health. Many of my clients could be considered to be vulnerable – elderly, infirm, long-term conditions.

I’m working toward the balance of being able to continue working, while keeping both myself, and my clients safe. For the foreseeable future, I will be putting ten clear days between one job and the next, which means there is plenty of time for me to show any sign of the virus. It goes without saying that if I do show signs, I will be cancelling all work until I am clear.

I would ask you to keep that in mind before cancelling any work that you have planned, or scheduled. Not just for me and my business, but with all of your suppliers, service trades or public facing businesses.

Coronavirus Sense

In an ideal world, I’d put everything on hold, but unfortunately, I’m not in the position to do that, and nor is anyone else that I know. Businesses still need your trade, they still need to open, provide a service, and survive. The only way they can do that, is with your support, and some sensible measures.

I firmly believe that I’ve introduced the sensible measures, now I just need your support.

Thank you.
