Wooden Tool Chest | Handyman Near Me

Approximate Dimensions: 58cm Wide x 33cm Deep x 29cm Tall

Made from softwood that has been stained in Dark Oak, then waxed to give the ultimate in hard-wearing, durable finish.

Heavy-duty catches (two) secure the lid, and they're adjustable to allow for some movement as the wood settles.

A heavy-duty canvas handle (recycled from a belt) makes for the perfect handle - being wide and strong, with a degree of comfort.

This box is brand new, in stock, although I may be tempted to use it myself.

A thin, shallow compartment is attached to the left hand side of the box, useful for pencils, rules etc.

The construction is all wood (aside from the handle and metal hardware), and the fixings are a combination of screws and brad nails.

Where nails have been used on the exterior of the wooden tool chest, I have plugged the holes (covering the nails) with small wooden plugs, making for an even wooden finish. See picture below.

Construction of the box takes around 30 hours, and it's all done by hand.

Rather than use joints such as knuckle or dovetail, I have gone for a good old fashioned butt joint for a solid construction - this box won't fall apart, no matter how much weight is inside it.

Retail price of this particular box is £149.99. Although I can create a bespoke tool chest for you for a similar price.

The inside of this wooden tool chest is stained, but empty - it's just a large interior that you can store tools in, or add to in order to make something more custom for your own needs.

Feel free to ask me any questions, or ask for prices for something absolutely unique to you.

I can take payment via bank transfer, PayPal or cash.

Happy to ship anywhere.
